Curaleaf Laboratories is the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of EU-GMP certified medical cannabis, operating the country’s largest, state-of-the-art facility in Sunderland.
In 2024, Curaleaf Laboratories partnered with PPX on a 12-month, full-service campaign to strengthen category leadership and drive growth across the UK and European medical cannabis markets. Despite operating in one of the world’s most regulated advertising environments, the integrated multi-channel strategy (digital, email, events, editorial and social) delivered sustained, high-quality visibility above industry benchmarks.
The campaign generated 8.1 million digital impressions with sector-leading view-through and engagement rates. Email activity reached 776,000+ recipients across 72 inclusions, achieving an average open rate of 23% and peaks up to 46%. Editorial efforts produced 23 in-depth articles, positioning Curaleaf Laboratories as a trusted authority, while social media—particularly LinkedIn—delivered above-benchmark engagement and strengthened B2B credibility.
Through consistent storytelling and always-on presence, the campaign reinforced Curaleaf’s leadership, deepened stakeholder trust, and delivered visibility and engagement well above typical UK and EU medical cannabis operators.
